This photo was taken in my flat in London. I design and build all of my sets in my flat, working on a budget. It was taken on a SonyA7ii. The image is 92cmx120cm (H x W) unframed. I am an Irish artist who specialises in constructing my pieces over time and creating a specific environment for a character that I've created, down to every last detail. Hollywoods depiction of the American Dream has always acted as a visual therapy for me, growing up camp in a small place in Ireland. What I am to do is use the visual impact that Hollywood, in particular the camp aspects of it, had on me visually and make something for those who may need it. Hopefully to act as a temporary form of visual escapism.
