Description

A green turtle floats in the dark waters of South Ari Atoll, Maldives. Ascending to take a few short breathes before returning to the reef for hours of foraging and sleep. Green turtles can travel huge distances from their feeding to nesting grounds, and as such are at great risk from entanglement in ghost nets and ingesting plastics, in this age of marine pollution.
