Description
This is a group of immature Collaria arcyrionema slime mold. I found this specimen in my local woodland in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, growing on decaying birch tree logs. If you look closely at the image, you'll notice what looks like two couples holding hands and kissing on the right, while two stand alone on the left an amusing little scene in miniature. This is a focus-stacked image created from 95 individual photos. I used a flash with a homemade diffuser to capture the fine details.
