On a short, unexceptional peninsula in the contemporary neighbourhood of Noblessner stands a lone coffee machine. I came across the vending machine quite by accident, drawn towards it by the soft halo of light surrounding the dispenser. Amidst the encroaching darkness of another freezing cold February evening in the Estonian capital, the coffee machine stood out as a beacon of light and, more importantly, warmth.
