Low Light Photography

Nikon D500, Sigma 17-70mm portrait lens, Light painting tools, an old bycle wheel, LED lights
This image was captured in a completely dark room using a 29-second exposure and a fully manual setup. I laid glossy black tiles on the floor to create natural reflections and positioned my model carefully in the centre. Using an old bicycle wheel wrapped with coloured LED lights, I moved on all fours behind her, waving the lights in controlled arcs to paint the scene. After completing the background light trails, I used a portrait light to softly illuminate her face before returning to the camera to close the exposure. This process was repeated more than 50 times to perfect the symmetry, movement, and balance of light and shadow—an exhausting but rewarding challenge.
