Landscape
Arctic circle, North of Svalbard
canon 6d, EF 70-300
Not your typical landscape. We had to travel to 82 degrees north to reach the pack ice. This was much further than we had anticipated. The ice is receding more as time goes by and climate change takes its toll. On the way North melting ice made abstract sculptural forms. This image is of ripples of water through an arch of ice which is dripping and diminishing. The melting ice is both beautiful and disturbing. There shouldn’t be clear water there, but global warming means that there is.
