Sony A7iii, Sigma 56mm F1.4
On 30th August 2025, right-wing nationalists rallied outside a hotel in Swindon which was rumoured to be housing asylum seekers. During a tense stand-off with anti-racism counter protesters, one man from the right-wing group shouts across the police line towards the 'Stand Up to Racism' group, the St George's Cross of another protester at his back. Framing diagonally to use the flag as a backdrop and position the yelling man in the bottom corner, I captured a moment of emotive fury that seemed to encapsulate the strength of feeling — often mixed with hatred and abuse — that has spread across the country this summer and dominated political discourse.
