Description

Exploring the Rio Tarcoles in Costa Rica offers the chance to get up close to American crocodiles. Seeing and photographing these giants in their natural habitat was something I had always wanted to have the opportunity to do. I underestimated just how close they would swim to the boat and began worrying I wouldn’t have a suitable lens. I tried a lot of different compositions but my favourite in the end was the birds-eye view. Thankfully my 105mm was wide enough to capture this image.
