Description

Free diver Em Lonsdale plays in the light of the Maravilla Cenote, Mexico. The beam of light created when the sun hits the surface of this cenote is incredible to experience and to capture, adding a subject only adds to its awe. As an image maker watching the way the light behaved was mesmerising. It was partially cloudy the day we shot and the fact the light rays were fleeting made it even more special to be able to shoot as the sun needed to hit the cenote directly to create the beam. The light beam continues to the salt water halocline at 27M. Shot on breath hold.
