I headed out at 2 AM to Womere Pools in Cannock Chase to find dew-covered damselflies. Instead of using a coloured card, I placed a Gerbera Daisy flower in the background. The Gerbera Daisy made for a tremendous coloured background but also refracted in the water drops. It took several attempts to get the angles and refraction right and of course for the damselfly to keep still. It's a very complicated shot but well worth it. 100 image stack edited in Helicon Focus, Lightroom and Photoshop. 1/50 Sec, f/5.6, iso 400
