Description

The month of May 2024 was marked by the greatest northern lights display that the world has seen for over 20 years. The lights were visible all across the UK and even as far south as France and Germany. It was one of the most incredible things I’ve seen as it danced across the sky for hours. I specialise in shooting self-portraits as I believe they help create an immersive experience for the viewer allowing them to place themselves in the image and imagine what it would feel like to witness this view in person. I hope that this photo can do that for you too. This is a long-exposure self-portrait captured with the Canon R5 on an interval timer.
