Description

A Lioness leads the pride out on a hunt as the sun begins to set in the Maasai Mara, Kenya. I stayed with this pride while they all slept but was the sun got lower in the sky the pride stirred. They moved up a hill so we moved ahead of them and let the pride walk onto us, shortly after this image we watched them make a kill on an adult buffalo. Shot at 1/2000SS f2.8, ISO 250 @149mm focal length. The camera was on a pole held out the window with a wired trigger to activate the shutter, this allwoed for a really low angel of view safely.
