We were waiting at the waterhole late one evening. This waterhole was about 10 kms from the camp and it was getting close to the gate closing time. All the vehicles had left but I knew this Black-backed jackal was trying to hunt the doves and sandgrouse that visit the waterhole for the last drink before nightfall. Then as anticipated he made a charge and I managed to grab about 67 frames of the jackal having a go. This frame is beautiful as it shows it launching towards the flock as it tries to grab its meal. In the subsequent frames it is lost in the flock in flight.
