Description

The coastline of Vietnam is a mecca for travel photographers in the know. The opportunities are endless and with the right subject and light you can create absolute magic. A fisherman that I know in the central province of Quang Nam is happy to be photographed as he works. Having done so many times I'm aware of the different imagery that I can create with him. What will really make any image of him is when the net is backlit by the sunlight. Although striking images can be created from what is ground level it's when a drone is put in the air that a magical scene really unfolds. On this particular morning I noticed more and more the long shadows of him and wanted to ensure that my final image had a strong doppelganger shadow of him reflecting in the net.
