Description

The statue depicts Wallace in a defiant pose, holding a sword aloft in one hand and a shield in the other, symbolising his role as a defender and guardian of Scotland. Photographed just after sunset, the vibrant sunset colours compliment the statue which is illuminated in artificial orange lights to raise awareness for Batten disease. This image is not possible without a drone due to the statue's elevated position on the monument. This photograph was captured using the telephoto lens and is multiple multi exposure images combined together. Using the telephoto lens helped me to "pull" in the distant mountains to bring them closer to the statue.
