Description

Part of my ongoing project 'Extraction' looking at multiple different sectors in society that all share a commonality of subtracting from the Earth in some way. I'm interested in not so much how we treat the Earth, this is already common knowledge to us all, but our relationship to why we're okay with it. There's a cost to everything we do, and this is usually a price payed by the local environments around sites like the one pictured here. At the same time however these sites are often hidden from public eye, further alienating what goes on there and their effect around them.
