Description

On the 11th of November, 2023, Great Western Railway commemorated Remembrance Day with a 'Poppies to Paddington' ceremony on Platform 1, beneath the war memorial. In a touching scene, a veteran stood surrounded by poppy wreaths on board the Cheltenham Spa-London Paddington service, with, each wreath picked up from the stations this special train had stopped at along its route. The wreaths, carefully laid out around the veteran, symbolised the collective remembrance and respect from communities all along the line.
