Atherstone, North Warwickshire.
Fujifilm X-T5 + XF35 f/2
The Atherstone ball game is an ancient tradition dating back to 1199. Played annually on Shrove Tuesday it’s an intense battle to gain possession of a large leather ball, the person holding it at 5pm wins (and that really is the only rule of note!). Sometimes the action gets a bit feisty and I think that’s what the photograph capture. I didn’t know at the time but found out a week or two later that the two people in the frame having a fist fight were brothers.
