This image was shot as part of a collection to showcase the fabulous LJU808E Jensen Interceptor. More about this car: Chassis 119/006 is a pre-production Jensen FF built by Italian coachbuilder, Vignale. The car’s first owner was a highly-decorated WWII RAF pilot, who was ultimately shot down captured and interred in Stalag Luft III. Here, he was a part of the scheme to break out of the prison camp – a story which which formed the basis for the film the ‘Great Escape’. Surviving the war, he went on to run a successful manufacturing business, which enabled him to indulge his passion for fast cars, including this beautiful Jensen FF. The car has been restored by Cropredy Bridge Cars under the guidance of world leading experts on FF’s. Vignale-made FF’s are incredibly rare and differ in many ways from the production car. Factory records suggest only 6 were made, when analysis of survivorship was last done 5 out of 6 were no longer on the road (including 006): It’s likely only two or three survive now.
