Description

I was given the intriguing task of photographing Piston Gin's latest creation: a coal-infused gin featuring Welsh steam coal from the Severn Valley Railway locomotives. The gin, which boasts delicious berry notes, was the star of the shoot. To highlight its unique ingredients and origin, I incorporated real coal into the setup. I captured the gin being poured into a glass alongside the coal, emphasising the connection between the product and its historical, industrial roots. The resulting images not only showcased the gin’s distinctive character but also added a visual narrative that celebrated its heritage.
