Portrait of Ukrainian refugee and talented ballet dancer, Kateryna Andrushyna, 12, taken for Ukraine Independence Day 2022. Kateryna, started ballet when she was 4. For the last 8 years, ballet has been her life and passion. In Ukraine, she trained at the Kyiv Academy of Art INSE, and since coming to the UK she applied for The Royal Ballet School, London, because she sees her future as a professional ballerina. Since 2018, Kateryna has won a lot of international awards, so, keeping her dreams alive, Kateryna wishes to hopefully make her career as a ballerina in the UK. Like all ballet dancers, Kateryna will have to take a difficult exam. Therefore, dedicated to her craft, both Kateryna and her sister have been having ballet lessons every day through the holidays to ensure they are prepared.
