Red fang wandering spider( Piloctenus cf. haematostoma) - venomous spider with a strong bite usually found in New Guinea with adults reaching the size of 7 to 11 cos. Though the bite can be quite painful and punchy as with all spiders they are only defensive and should be treated with respect when found in nature. This was a macro shot with hand held stacking to 125 images staked to gather to focus on the stinger of the spider. You can also see the serrations at the front like spikes which hold the prey in place preventing them wriggling out.
