Description

1/100 s, f 78mm, ISO 64 single exposure I had wanted to visit this location for years and eventually had my opportunity in Feb 2022. I had watched many, many videos on the right location to shoot from and as I had just one chance was very careful to get in position with plenty of time, leaving my hotel some miles away at about 5 am. It was about 4 degrees and I recall I was especially cold as the zipper in my coat had broken as I left the hotel. As the light started to slip over the landscape any discomfort was forgotten in the beauty of the moment. I took way too many images, reframing shot after shot as the sun rose and eventually the cloud cleared. I was so happy with pretty much all the images I captured that morning, the weather was perfect with the sun and the clouds working together to enhance the beauty of the old church perfectly. It was one of those rare moments where all the planning came together and granted me the chance to take the images I had imagined creating in my mind.
