Penmachno / Snowdonia National Park
Sony A7iii / Gmaster 70-200mm 2.8
There's no location i've spent more time with my camera than 'Penmachno roman bridge" located in the heart of Snowdonia. Over the years ive perfected my knowledge of light here which brings out the best results for such a beautiful location. My style of photography suits the location and sends me back in time at each visit, this scene was caught during autumn last year (26 October 2022) when the colourful leaves were backlit during sunset. The settings for the image - Iso 100/ 70mm/ F5.6 / 1/25 sec. My intentions were to create a "lord of the rings" feel to the image and once the light came through I was happy that I captured exactly what I was after. The most difficult thing here is keeping the correct exposure to the image, its my favourite location to photograph and the autumn in my opinion the best season to show the emotion I was after. There is minimal post production done in Lightroom adjusting shadows and highlights.
