Description

As our safari vehicle closed in on the legendary Nkuhuma pride of northern Sabi Sands, we came across a powerful, visceral scene. A buffalo had just been killed and the pride was gorging themselves. In the centre of fourteen lions, two pairs of eyes pierced the scene, as if to say hands off my meat. The roaring, the sniping, the biting off off the flesh; to see these animals eat is an extraordinary experience.
