A night spent in the wilds for charity... A news story following the life of a young man raising money for his own charity helping children in poverty. His spent the night with his brother on a portal edge to raise publicity for the work he has been doing. On arrival I was so impressed by the pairs courage in spending what was an extremely turbulent night next to the sea. The boys albeit tired were in good spirit and excited to tell their story before their father arrived to take them home for a hot bath and some tea. I took a series of images using both hand cameras and a drone as I wanted to tell the story of the extremely circumstances in which they spent the night. My favourite image from the shoot was this one where I was roped onto the cliff side pointing the camera straight down giving a somewhat more abstract perspective to tell the story. All work was conducted under the guidance and supervision of a trained climbing instructor who was also responsible for the safety of the portaledge.
