whilst I’ve been out photographing the kingfishers I’ve seen lots of different crazy moments with other birds and wildlife, one of my favourites has to be of a grey heron that flew in and landed on a log in the middle of a marsh. It strolled along the log turned to face me then slipped throwing its wings out at full stretch to catch its balance. As it did this I started taking a burst of pictures the result of which caught the heron taking a bow to the camera. To me all though the heron is a common bird I would say it’s a once in a life time shot.
