Description

Taken in my garden in Solihull, West Midlands. I placed sunflower seeds on bird table and placed 3 Godox AD200 flash units next to the table. Observing the birds coming down to feed from a near by bush, I set my Canon R6 to 1/8s f16 and the flash to fire at the end of the exposure. The idea to capture the movement of the bird but still obtain a sharp photograph at the end of the exposure. It's very much a case of timing as you only get one shot at it. I particularly like the feel of this photograph as the Blue Tit comes into feed it has an almost vintage aeronautical feel about it.
