Description

An image from my final major project, ‘redefining sex for women’. The project is a body of work exploring misogynist topics around sex. Through extensive research into deep rooted and sexist cultural issues, I have produced imagery which evokes an emotional response from the viewer. My goal behind this project was to highlight such topics in a powerful, yet beautiful and respectful manner. This image attempts to show my interpretation of virginity. This idea that our sexuality is alive and waiting to burst out, but societal restrictions make women feel ashamed of their desires and growth.
