Description

I`d been monitoring this Barn Owl nest for a while & was convinced (by evidence of massively increased hunting forays to & from the barn) that there were chicks that had hatched. Watching the adults come & go, I noticed they often came back via the same route & trajectory. I`d got this idea to hopefully capture a silhoutted image of an adult coming back with a vole. So one evening after work I decided to go to the location for a sunrise photo shoot & hopefully achieve my objective (as well as just to savour the scene of Barn Owls hunting over pristine fields & reed beds). As you can see, I managed to capture an image I was happy with. A fantastic few hours spent with one of our most incredible birds.
