I’m a huge fan of natural light and when you have the sun shining there is nothing more beautiful! But what do you do when it’s winter and the sun sets at 6pm? Of course, as a professional wedding photographer you need to have the skill to shoot in all lighting conditions. Especially during the autumn and winter months when the sun sets early, we have a lot more opportunities to use a flash lighting to create different effects, both indoors and outdoors. I created this photo at the beautiful Sofitel St James London, and couldn't resist photographing the couple outside the beautiful building. As this was taken late in the evening, it was already dark and on top of that we had the typical London weather - rain. That didn't stop me setting up a flash light behind the couple to achieve the dramatic lighting and use the rain to our advantage. The couple absolutely loved this image and it definitely has that wow factor, it’s always great to turn a rainy day into something beautiful.
