Water Life
Penguin River, South Georgia
Canon 7DMKI (70-300mm)
Whilst carrying out my Elephant seal counts on South Georgia I always kept my camera out and ready in case of a big fight between the males. These fights are actually very rare and usually result in the smaller individual seeing sense and running away after a sign of aggression from the beach master. As a bellowing male made its way up from the water towards this male, it was keen to show how big it was and who which female belonged to him, much to the distress of the pup. It worked and the challenger retreated!
