Description

Alex Zanardi - one of the most inspirational wheel chair athletes of his generation. He was a formula 1 car driver and lost both his legs following a crash during a race event 20 years ago. Determined to overcome his disability he started competing in wheelchair events and won many accolades. This was him representing Italy at the European championships in Berlin. Unfortunately he met with another accident while competing at Siena,Italy in June 2020 and ended up in induced coma on a ventilator and continues to improve slowly and still in intensive cate to date.
