Description

This is my tiny, loyal little Whippet Bonnie. She is getting old now and I wanted to capture a special image of us both. She is my shadow, and loves to nest her little muzzle in my hand so I decided to create this image. I bought a dark coloured flat bed sheet, threw it over the kitchen table, stood Bonnie in front of it with light coming through the patio door window. I manually focused on her face, got myself into position and took the shot with a remote shutter release. We had to do this a handful of times to get everything in focus. In one image my hand would be soft and her face would be sharp and vice versa but we got there in the end.. Camera settings 1/40sec, f3.5, iso 320 -1 1/3 ev
