Canon 5D mkIV, Tamron 24-70 f2.8, Homemade underwater housing
This split screen mallard photograph took a long time to get, not just because getting the shot was tricky - but because I had to build my own underwater housing first! I designed and built a housing, and then donned my waders and headed out to try and get a unique perspective of a relatively familiar species. The image is at a very high ISO because of how dark it is under the surface of the water, and because I shot the image at F8 to ensure the duck would be in focus (I was shooting manual focus).
