Description

Lynne making the exposed traverse on the 3rd pitch of 'Via Myriam' at Cinque Torri in the Italian Dolomites. Having climbed this route previously I was struck by just how beautiful the backdrop was looking back along the characteristic traverse towards the Croda da Lago ridge line. Climbing this route again with an extra rope I led this particular pitch before abseiling back down to the end of the traverse and hung in wait for Lynne to climb towards me. This shot later became the front cover to my rock climbing guide to the Dolomites published by Rockfax. Exif: 17-40mm at 17mm, ISO 100, 1/200s at f/7.1.
