Sony A7R with a Nikon 50m 2.8 manual lens
My first ever Grand Prix as part of the media and an historic race for Lewis Hamilton who won his record breaking 6th British Grand Prix, beating a record set by legendary driver Jim Clarke. As Lewis was getting into his car before the race, I was fortunate to be stood at the end of his nose cone. Just before Lewis lowered himself into the car, his bowed his head to look down, revealing his Union Jack tribute on top of his helmet. This helmet was a one off for his home Grand Prix. This image really gives a sense of calm and tranquility in a garage full of chaos and mechanics to help get the car ready. I basically sat on my knees and waited for lewis to step into the car.
