Description

This is Bobby one of my garden visitors. Living close to a nature reserve in Formby I have red squirrels that visit my garden. It took me over 12 months to entice the red squirrels into an area I had prepared to catch images of them jumping for hazelnuts. I had to tempt them into a predefined area and predict where they would leap from. I photographed them using wide apertures to give good subject separation from the background. when they leap they are in the air for approx 0.5 of a second, so I needed to be quick!
