Wedding
Tynemouth
Nikon D750, 24-70mm lens
Shona & Jonathan were married by the sea at The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth. Before their wedding I had the idea of doing a slow shutter speed shot, in order to make the sea water look like mist. I run the idea by Shona and Jonathan and they both loved it. I checked the tide times and the weather forecast and it was all looking in our favour, as it was low tide just after the wedding ceremony. We headed out on to the rocks and I set up my tripod and then had Shona & Jonathan stand as still as possible in position. Jon is a serving soldier in the Grenadier Guards and wore his amazing red tunic for the wedding. This made the photograph for me, as it's pretty much the only colour in the photograph due to the dramatic clouds in the sky.
