Fireworks anemones are, in their own right, one of the most fantastical sights a diver can whitness in the UK. These large (think beach-ball sized) anemones are mostly white with occational brown/dark-red stripes in normal lighting conditions. But using special blue lights and a barrier filter, we are able to see them fluoresce with an intense white and green colour that makes them seem to be dancing aliens in a sea of blackness... quite stunning.
