I was so very privileged to observe the behaviour of this buck and doe in the Suffolk fields near Woodbridge. Whilst the weather was overcast I was transfixed as I watched their unusual courtship throughout the day. Hours of calm as they sat together in the field, punctuated by fleeting moments of fierce activity as they boxed each other…truly Mad March hares. This particular image was taken with a Nikon D5 and 600f4G at 1/2000 sec, f6.3, ISO 1100.
