Whilst driving the remote roads of the Northern Territory it pays to keep a careful eye out for wildlife, especially at night. I encountered this brown tree snake one night on the way home from a camping trip, I pulled over just in time to snap the lizards tail disappearing down the snakes throat. I used the tilt function on my lens to have the focal plane follow the line of the snake's body, this allowed me to maximise the amount of the subject shown in-focus whilst still highlighting the snake's head as the focal point of the image.
