Description

Taken with a borrowed Nikon D4 with waterproof housing near to the coast off Noss Head ,Shetland. Gannets are a passion of mine,I often drive up to RSPB Bempton Cliffs to see them.There is no sound like them,they are very vocal and loud but such a beautiful looking bird. I have taken diving gannet shots in the past,but when I got the chance to photograph them under water I jumped at it. They are like bullets and swim incredibly well.The fisheye lens worked a treat allowing much action to be captured in the frame.I came away with some incredible images,above and below the water and feel very blessed to have had the chance to be there.
