Documentary Photography Competition

This category is reserved for those who add context to our human situation through documenting human life. While this is a broad category, the images submitted should be accompanied by a detailed caption that describes the aims, and perceived impact of the image. They can explore ethical, social, scientific, creative themes, or issues personally surrounding the artist that may not be considered 'mainstream' discourse. The judges are looking for examples of the photograph's power to inform, and proper captioning is important.
