Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity that supports women through their breast cancer treatment. When breast cancer tries to rob a woman of her individuality, confidence or strength, we provide the tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support that helps her hold on to them. We support women and their families via a network of 5 welcoming centres around the UK and through an expanding network of other services. We’re there to provide women with breast cancer with the support that treatment alone can’t.
Each visitor to Breast Cancer Haven receives up to 12 free hours of one to one supportive therapy time which includes two hours with a healthcare professional. All sessions are specifically designed to address the impact and side effects of breast cancer treatment such as nausea, hair loss, anxiety and insomnia as well as practical support on things like money and work, healthy eating and exercise. Each package of support is provided free of charge and could include, massage, counselling, acupuncture and nutritional therapy amongst others. Our counselling service is also extended to our visitors’ family members, partners and close friends.
Anyone is welcome at our centres, there are no geographical restrictions however we do understand that for some, it may be too far to travel. We therefore offer telephone appointments with our therapists or nurses and we also have an online library of films and resources anyone can access.
Our promise is that everyone affected by breast cancer gets the help they need, when they need it.
