Water Life
marsa shagra Red sea
Sony A7RIV with sony 28-60 lens in nauticam housing with WWL1B wet wide lens and two backscatter miniflash strobes, settings iso 50 1/3 sec F25
These red Soldier fish in the red sea have the most amazing colour but are hard to photograph and isolate from their often complicated background as the often gather under overhangs so I used a long exposure, ICM and strobed the fish to make the red sea stand out against the natural turquoise of the water. I wanted to create a simple portrait that focused on colour.
