This little blenny fish has found a hole in a brain coral which apparently is now its home. When approaching slowly and with a little patience the little fellow is curious enough to peer out of his hole to check things out, but he can disappear lightning-fast if he thinks something is wrong. For this shot, I tried to make use of the brain coral’s structures as leading lines. I also adjusted the power of the strobes to the right amount in order to bring out the ethereal green light at the hem of the coral. I used a little more power in the right hand strobe than in the left to enhance the three-dimensional perception in the photograph.
