Within my street photography I love to use signs, graffiti, advertising and how they interact with passersby to produce a final image. Some might call these "cookie cutter photos" where the easy option is taken and nothing is out of the ordinary and actually the subjects within the scene bare no or very little connection to the sign/graffiti/advertising. This image on the other hand I feel is totally different, the juxtaposition between the lady on the mobility scooter and the sign saying "walkaround" produce an overall scene that just makes me chuckle when I look at it. Given the starkness of the dilapidated shop front and black and white editing it adds to the overall impact of the scene creating the connection between the two subjects.
