Description
The lesson behind this is to never put your camera away. I was enjoying a day of street photography in Cambridge, but desperately needed a coffee and a bite to eat, so I stopped off at Fitzbillie's cafe only to find this couple at the next table. They were fully engaged in their English breakfasts and in their animated conversation - thankfully, far too busy to notice me. The gestures and the timing, as the man is about to sink his teeth into his meal, poised between his lips, make the timing a critical feature. The colours are an important element with a simple palette of red, white, blue and grey. Two people are deep in conversation and caught in a side profile.
