Description
This is a picture of a Skateboarder in Coventry called Brittany - she is one of a few girl skateboarders in a local skating community organised by a Coventry skateshop called 'Project number 5'. She had asked if I could try and document her doing an 'Ollie', (which is the name of a trick that many skaters want to learn when they start which involves making the board 'jump' into the air). I had suggested that I try and shoot it using multiple shots taken quickly so that she could see the progression of the Ollie itself. I used a Sony A6700 camera that can take a succession of images very quickly along with my strobeam flash which can also flash very rapidly. Then in post production I overlayed the different images with varying degrees of opacity to emphasis certain points in the Ollie. Settings were 1/160th sec, f/4, iso 400
